Elämänluukku originated as a Kemiyhtiö logging cabin. It served the area's forest and timber floating for over a quarter of a century. Old lumberjack's house with a rich atmosphere is nowadays a wilderness cafeteria for skiers, winter bikers, snowshoe hikers, hikers, bikers, car drivers and all folks. Local delicacy made from local tastes, coffee made in a pot, organic teas and lappish berry juice. 

Winter maps (XC Ski and Winter Trails / Snowmobile Trails / Summer Trails and Mountain Biking) and support stickers are sold locally in Ylläs.
